Several ADLAA members asked us to think about holding a networking event. We did exactly that and it’s coming soon! Here’s the plan…
You’re probably Linked In… You may have scads of Facebook friends… But is your net really working for you? How about networking face-to-face with other ADL Alumni and meeting a special guest, Rachel Levy.
As you graze on the Elephant Walk’s fabled appetizers and sip a drink or two, Rachel will discuss how to get the most out of social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Quora for business purposes, including generating leads, finding resources for work you do, and finding out about new jobs.
Rachel has known ADL since the time she was born, by sitting on Thalia’s lap when visiting her Dad, Ron Levy, at work and by spending time selling Girl Scout cookies from his office. More recently, however, Rachel has been busy with her own career. Since 2008, she has immersed herself in the social media/networking world and consults full time in marketing and social media. Her clients include consumer products, consumer services, B2B, and pharmaceutical companies. She also runs a company called WebinarListings, which is a directory of live and recorded online training opportunities.
Earlier, Rachel graduated from the Booth School of Business (University of Chicago) with an MBA in Marketing and Organizational Behavior. She then spent 10 years working in marketing at companies including Abbott Laboratories, Kraft Foods, Jim Beam Brands, and the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston.
